Necia LaRie Grimmett Doty, 81 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 16, 2022, at her daughter's home in Chandler, Arizona.

Necia was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband Philip T Johnson, brother Clive (Shirley) Grimmett, and four children Shayne Doty (Michelle), Alecia Jackson (Gary), Joseph Doty, and Crystal Doty. Her legacy of faith will continue through her 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Necia was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Erma Grimmett, her sister Joyce Duggar, brother Gary Grimmett and grandson Shawn Jackson.

Necia loved uplifting music especially primary songs and hymns. Music was important throughout her life. She played the French horn, piano, and sang in her high school choir. She used music regularly as a preschool teacher, and enjoyed singing in community choral groups.

A family gathering will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 149 W Central Ave. in her hometown of Aberdeen, ID at 10:30 am April 30, 2022, followed by a graveside service at the Aberdeen Cemetery.
