Gladys Phillips Walck, 80, of Painted Post, NY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, with her loving family by her side, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira.

Gladys was born in Freeland, PA, on February 17, 1932 to the late Edward and Celia (Fisher) Phillips.

Mrs. Walck married Sterling L. Walck on January 10, 1954 in Freeland, PA.

She enjoyed socializing with her friends at the Village Square Apartments in Painted Post. Gladys enjoyed playing with her daughter's dog Gracie Ann and also her pet cockatiel, Bobby. She will be dearly missed by her husband Sterling L. Walck of Painted Post, NY; her son Sterling (Skip) Walck Jr. of Painted Post; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gary Van Etten of Caton, NY; and several extended family members.

Services will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southern Tier Hospice & Palliative Care, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
