Bertha Ann Webb, 103, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life October 5, 2016. She was born October 11, 1912, in Spiro, Oklahoma, on the family farm, to William Alexander and Christy Ann (Hamm) Borden, the eldest of their four children.

She married Posey Brooks Webb in Howe, Oklahoma, on December 24, 1927. She was a homemaker and mother to their three sons and three daughters. She helped Posey on the family farm near Addington, Oklahoma. Posey worked as custodian at the Addington School from 1944 to 1959. They moved to Waurika in 1959 where they worked as custodians at First Baptist Church. She was always a teacher at church and sang in the choir at the church and on trips. She helped for years as a counselor at church camp. She was the first cook at Woods Nursing home in 1963 and worked as a nurses aide at the old and new Jefferson County hospitals.

Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her parents William and Christy Borden, her husband Posey Brooks Webb, her daughter Margaret Webb Andrus, and three brothers - Tom, Eugene, and Brookshire Borden.

Survivors include: five children - Hubert Glenn Webb of Georgetown, TX, Richard Curtis Webb of Guthrie, OK, Helen Wynema Pruett of Odessa, TX, Eugene Brooks Webb of Tulsa, OK, and Lola Ann Webb Pinson of Ft Worth, TX; thirty-two grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the Addington Cemetery with Jason Ebenhack officiating, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. www.dudleyfuneralhomes.com.
