BESHEARS, JOHN LEWIS -- Funeral services for John Lewis Beshears, 50, of Orcutt, who died Monday while at work at the Santa Maria oil fields, will be held at Greenlawn Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Reverend Arthur H. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in The Rose Hill section of Greenlawn Memorial Park. Born in Texas, Mr. Beshears had been a resident of Bakersfield for two years and of California for 48 years. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Mary Beshears, of Orcutt, a mother, Mrs. Mary A. Beshears, of Bakersfield, three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Holman and Mrs. Alice Huntley, both of Bakersfield, Mrs. Rebecca Baker of Zephyr, Texas, and two brothers, Alfred, of Santa Maria, and Orba, of Bakersfield.
