He was born August 13, 1926 in Hazleton to the late Frank and Mary (Mento) Barbaretta.
Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked for Progressive Service Company as a Machinist.
Joseph was a faithful member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
His greatest passion was horse-riding and owning horses.
Joseph was a member of Bonnybrook Riding Club and various other riding clubs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons: Robert and Donald Barbaretta; and, his grandson.
Joseph is survived by his daughter: Janette (Ralph) Shaw; his sons: Barry Barbaretta, Anthony (Sharon) Barbaretta, and David (Wanda) Barbaretta; his six grandchildren; his fifteen great-grandchildren; and, his sisters: Rita Kulp and Theresa Tobias.
A Grave-side Service and inurnment will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 02:30 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
