Mrs. Susanna Young or Grandma Young as everyone called her, fell asleep at 6:00 the morning of July 21st after a painful illness of 3 weeks.
She was born in Indiana July 4, 1822 and has lived where she died ever since. She was the mother of 11 children, ten of whom lived to be grown and nine of whom were at her deathbed and followed the remains to their last resting place.
The funeral service was held at the house this morning conducted by the Christian minister from Humboldt speaking from the text of her choosing.
The remains were interred at Swede Center.
