Peggy Jo Anderson Gryder of Hays passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Gryder was born May 4, 1950, in Wilkes County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Garther A. Bowers and Rethia B. Anderson Bowers, and a brother, Tommy Bowers.
In addition to her husband, Willard C. Gryder of the home, she is survived by a daughter, Teresa Gail Watkins and husband, Robby, of Hays; a son, Joey Keith Shumate and wife, Teresa, of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Hellen Wagoner and husband, Jerry, Thelma Wright, Marie Miller and Brenda Crosby; and three brothers, Jimmy Bowers and wife, Mary, Michael Bowers and wife, Debbie, and Dewey "Buster" Bowers and wife, Karen.
Private memorial services will be held.
