THACKERVILLE Graveside services for Bernice Morgan, 95, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Robby Peyrot and the Rev. Matthew Weathers officiating.

Born on April 10, 1912, in Canadian, Texas, to Fletcher Woolsey and Ella Mae Burdette Hennington, she died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at a Marietta health care facility. She and Oce L. Morgan were married on Jan. 29, 1932, in Marietta. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 12, 1993; a son, David L. Morgan; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.

A resident of Thackerville since 1932, she loved playing the piano and doing handwork, especially crocheting and quilting. She was a member, Sunday school teacher and very involved in First Baptist Church. She was a member of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Frank Wolfe, Midland, Texas, and Lou and Earl Harper, Thackerville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Honorary bearers will be her grandsons,the staff at Lake Country Nursing Center and Duane Hicks. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 this evening at Flanagan Watts Funeral Home.
