FORT JENNINGS – Allen K. "Doc" Wittler, 67, of Fort Jennings, passed away at 10:52 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Van Wert Health, Van Wert.

He was born November 3, 1954, in Lima to Leander and Rosemary (Becker) Wittler, his mother survives in Delphos.

Doc is also survived by his siblings: Kathy (Ed) Kimmet of Ft. Wayne, IN., Pat (Dan) Beckman of Beavercreek, Dean (Diane) Wittler of Ft. Jennings, Becky Murray of Delphos, and Neil (Ann) Wittler of Ft. Jennings; fifteen nieces and nephews; and twenty-five great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Doc was the owner of Wittler Contracting, Plumbing and Heating. He was the former Chief for the Fort Jennings Volunteer Fire Department. Doc was a member of Sons of the American Legion in Fort Jennings. He was a fan of NASCAR and NHRA. He enjoyed traveling and watching the Cleveland Indians and OSU. Doc was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings, with Father John Stites officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings Facebook page. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 8p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township, and again from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
