Bertie Lee Weikle, age 91, of Union passed away Monday October 4, 2021 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born November 9, 1929 in Greenbrier County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Vernie Broyles.

She loved gardening, going to yard sales and spending time with her friends and family including her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She belonged to the Mt. Alexander Church at Sarton, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Ray L. Weikle, In laws Charles and Tressie Weikle, Brother Kenneth Broyles, and Sisters Catherine Gessel, Viola (Beck) Payne and Betty Weikle.

The ones she leaves behind to cherish her memory include daughter Peggy Goodall and husband Donald (Bucky) of Union, Daughter Missie Weikle of Union, Grandchildren Amanda Hunnicutt and husband Brian of Union, Cindy Mann and husband Eddie of Salem Va., Tim Goodall and companion Jessica Bender of Ronceverte, and Joe Goodall and wife Corrine of Wisconsin. Along with nine great grandchildren, her dog Bear-Bear, several nieces and nephews and Special care giver Crystal Chattin.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Terry Utterback and Rev. Nathan Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Alexander Church Cemetery at Sarton, WV. The family will receive friends Friday, October 15, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
