Franklin Leon Kastl was born in Fairfax, Oklahoma, January 21, 1928, to John Franklin and Hazel Ethel (Hendrix) Kastle. He then moved to a farm on Bug Creek, Osage County, within ear shot of the Round House Dance Hall of the Osage Indian Dancers. He attended grammar school at the Paxton County School where his father was on the school board. He then attended Hominy High School where he met, on the school bus, his wife, Launis Pamelia (Passmore) Kastl, born January 24, 1927, to Dick and Lennis Passmore of Hominy. Launis passed Sept 16, 1970, of pancreatic cancer, after 25 years of marriage. Three children were born to this union, Franklin Leon Kastl III, John Dick Kastl (wife, Cheryl), and Judy Sue Kastl.
Frank Sr was then married to Gloria (Baker) Kastl of Owasso, Oklahoma, for 50 years, with stepson Danny Stephens (wife, Karin) and stepdaughter Peggy Schweitzer (husband, Ken).
Frank Sr started his working life as a meat cutter and then worked driving a truck as a wholesale milkman for 33 years.
He liked to hunt and fish, and his hobby for years was welding. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Hebron Lodge 215 in Cleveland, OK
With Launis, he enjoyed their bowling team, "The Mugwumps," and playing card games with friends. With Gloria, he loved to go dancing and traveling with their RV.
Frank Sr passed from this earth the morning of April 11, 2022. He was preceded by his parents and four siblings.
