Ellen Faye Nicholson, age 93, of Salem passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Salem Crossing. Mrs. Nicholson was born September 10, 1928 in Washington County the daughter of Lewis and Eska Standish Maudlin.

She was a 1947 Salem High School Graduate. Ellen was a member of Monroe Church of Christ, 4-H as the Poultry Supervisor, and the Farmer's Market.

Ellen married Wayne Nicholson on August 15, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2018.

She is survived by two sons: Melvin Nicholson (Sandy) of Greencastle, and Keith Nicholson (Deb) of Salem, two daughters: Donna Thompson (Butch Huff) of Salem, and Rebecca Wilkerson (Billy) also of Salem, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by three brothers: Alvin Maudlin, John N. Maudlin, and Arthur L. Maudlin, two sisters: Mary Walton, and Martha J. Demaree, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Friday at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 10AM-until time of service at the funeral home.
