Her parents are Audrey Agnes Ward and James Elias "Ed" Potter. Joan has a twin sister Jean, an older sister Mary and two brothers, James and Bernard. Joan married John Frederick 'Jack"Larsen in 1949 in Nebraska. They have seven children. She was a shining star and the most gracious woman you would ever know. Everyone who knew her loved her great heart and spirit. She was cremated and part of her ashes are buried with her son, David Vincent Larsen. The family has the rest of her ashes.
