Thursday night witnessed one of the most brilliant weddings in London's history. Mr. H. J. Johnson, one of Laurel's most well-known young men and lawyers, married Miss Adelaide Jackson, the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Mrs. Maria Jackson, at the home of the bride's mother.
May they live long and prosper.

Highway Engineer's Mother Dies In Laurel
London, KY - Mrs. Hiram Johnson, mother of District Highway Engineer W. F. Johnson, Somerset, died here last night of injuries suffered when she was struck by an automobile.

Mrs. Hiram Johnson was injured fatally when struck by a car near her home in London.
Mrs. Johnson was crossing Main Street from the Federal Building on her way to church services at First Baptist. A teenage drunk driver speeding on Main Street struck and killed her.
A helpless crowd soon gathered at the sad scene.
