Ida Mae (Akers) Mouser was born July 9, 1930, to William Henry and Edith (Huitt) Akers in Caledonia, Missouri and departed this life April 8, 2022, in Salem, Missouri at the age of ninety-one years.

Ida was united in marriage to Timon Odell Mouser on May 10, 1968, and together shared forty-nine years of memories before his passing on August 24, 2017. Although she worked outside the home in her younger years, she was proud to be a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her home and helping with the family farm.

Ida was gifted with talented hands and made many beautiful quilts including one of the United States map. She was an animal lover at heart who had a passion for dogs and cats. She was known to love her animals more than people. Ida loved and cared for her family and most enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and their families, watching them excel and grow.

Ida was a member of Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Belgrade and most recently attended Boss Assembly of God Church. She was a devoted Christian and her faith was most important to her.

Ida is survived by her children: Timon Mouser Jr. and wife Courtney of Bixby, MO, Tom Phares and wife Paula of Belgrade, MO, Susan Barton and husband Quinton of Bunker, MO, Paula Gamblin and husband Sam of Bismarck, MO, Steve Gillam and wife Deiatre of Salem, MO, and Terry Phares and wife Nancy of Caledonia, MO; step-children: Jerry Mouser of Jackson, MO, Leona Baker and husband Howard of Marble Hill, MO, Debbie Lincoln and husband Jeff of Scopus, MO; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Preceding her in death, loving husband: Timon Mouser Sr.; son: Eddie Gillam; parents: William and Edith Akers; brothers: William, Charlie, Lester, Kenneth, and Lawrence Akers; sisters: Hattie Hall and Mable Meinhart.

Ida will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services for Ida Mae (Akers) Mouser were held Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Boss Assembly of God Church with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Song selections played were "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder", "In The Sweet By And By", "I Believe He's Coming Back". Serving as Pallbearers were Chris Barton, Greg Barton, Rob Heifner, Shawn Davis, Thaddeus Heifner, and Noah Delashmit. Honorary Pallbearers were Sarah Gamblin, Logan Mouser, and Paylin Mouser. Burial was in the Boss Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Viburnum, Missouri.
