Mayard Costa King, 95, of Aiken, SC, wife of her beloved the late Donald Edwin King, entered into eternal rest on Friday; March 25, 2022 in the comfort of her home and surrounded by all that loved her.
Born in Fortaleza, Brazil and the eldest of nine children. She was the daughter of the late The'a & Louis de Amorim Costa. She came to the United States in 1952 and built a beautiful and full life, with her family that cherished her.
She was preceded in death by her son; Donald Costa King, her daughter-in-law; Lisa King; her brothers, Thelmo, Ibsen & Roberto; her sisters, Mariza, and Nelie.
She is survived by her children, Roderick Costa King, Douglas Louis Costa King (Carole) and her daughter, The'a Costa King; her grandchildren, Michelle, Lauren, David ( Lauren), Andre'a, Kristin, Tyler (Megan), Alissa, Geena (Thaddeus) and Joseph; her great-grandchildren, Luca, Aubrianna, Madelyn, Costas, Cora and Luna; and her sisters, Marly, Liris and Theis; 42 nieces & nephews and all of their children.
A Catholic Mass and celebration of her life will be held at (The Old) St. Marys Help of Christians Catholic Church 203 Park Avenue SE, Aiken, SC, followed by her entombment at St. Marys Help of Christians Columbarium; 138 Fairfield Street SE, Aiken, SC.
