Hal E Collum passed away on Monday, Sept 29, 2014. The service will commence at 12:30 pm Saturday, Oct 4, 2014 in the chapel of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Friends and family are encouraged to gather for visitation 6 pm Friday, Oct 3, 2014 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.

Hal was born on August 22, 1934 to parents Charles and Lela Collum in Rockwall, TX. At a young age Hal knew the importance of serving his country and joined the Army in 1956. He went on to work for Ford Motor Company for 32 years.

Hal was a member of Temple Baptist Church- Gainesville, Texas, and loved the Lord with all of his heart. He was a strong man of faith and devotion to his family. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked feeding the birds and squirrels from the palm of his hand.

Hal is preceded in death by parents, Charles and Lela Collum, his wife of 58 years Opal Collum.

He will be dearly missed by his son, Garry and wife Barbi Collum; grandsons, Chuck and wife Ashley, Jason and wife Shannon, Brian and wife Alex; grandchildren, Jadon, Lucy, and Aubrey.
