children until eldest son John is of age and no longer.
And every child to have an equal portion, one no more than the other.

Martin is reported to have died from wounds received from an encounter with Indians. Family legend has it that after Martin's death, her sons took their mother to North Carolina where she was killed by Indian squaws when she went to the spring for water.
The sons, Johannes, George Martin & John Valentine, settled along the three forks of Lyles Creek, then in Lincoln Co., NC.
