WEWOKA -- Service for Cecile Butner Butler, Ardmore, were Friday at the Church of Christ in Wewoka. Interment was at Butner Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.

Mrs. Butler, 88, was born July 8, 1911, in Wewoka, to Jim and Neeley Thurmond Butner. She died Aug. 11, 1999, in Ardmore.

Reared in Butner, she married Charley Daniel Butler Dec. 24, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Elva and Ray Butner; and a sister, Opal Pollard.

Survivors include two sons, Harold, Ardmore, and Wilbur, Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Bearers were Greg Hawkins, Jeremy and Kyle Soper, Steve, Jeff, Chet, Randy and Skip Butler. Honorary bearers were James Hart, Howard Nall, Glenn Jeffery and Joel Keese.
