Mary J. Karolewski, 78, of Du Bois died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1983, in the Washington County Hospital in Nashville.
Mrs. Karolewski was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church of DuBois.
She was born Oct. 5, 1904, in Perry County to Tom and Lodda Dahlman Kuberski.
She married William Kroll in 1922 in DuBois and he died on March 24, 1938. In 1941 she married Ted Gross, who preceded her in death, and she later married John Karolewski, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph Kroll of Rockford and Anthony and Mike Kroll, both of Pasco, Wash.; two step-sons, John and Ted Cross, both of DuBois; two daughters, Rose Ellermeyer and Esther Pokorney, both of Du Bois; one brother, Alex Kuberski of Alexis; two sisters, Nettie Lavedaski of South Bend, Ind., and Vernie Barciszewski of Ashley; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, an infant daughter preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois. Burial will be in St. Charles cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and until 9 a.m. Saturday at the Hogan-Pyatt Funeral Home in Ashley. Rosary services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
