Rites Pending For A. Caraway
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Finch Funhome in Nixon for A. B. Caraway, 83, pioneer resident of the Leesville community. Mr. Caraway died in the Holmes Memorial Hospital at 5 a.m. today.

Last Rites For A. B. Caraway Held In Nixon
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the Finch Funeral Home in Nixon for Archie B. Caraway, who died in the Holmes Memorial Hospital Tuesday, March 28.
Burial was in the Leesville cemetery with the Rev. R. H. Hogg, assisted by the Rev. R. L. Bolero and the E. L. Kelley, officiating.
He had been a member of the Oak Valley Baptist church for 43 years, having also served as a deacon in the chu.
Born March 20, 1884, he was the son of John and Mary Caraway and had been married for 57 years. The family had made their home in Leesville for all of those years.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Steenken Falk Caraway; one daughter, Mrs. Hilderene Edwards of Corpus Christi; two sons, Hugo Caraway of Copperas Coe; one brother, Wiley Caraway of Nixon; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Holmes Caraway who died March 9, 1959.
