Rebecca Lurline Hoshaw, age 65, missionary, passed away on March 31, 2022 in Wichita, KS.

Rebecca (Becky) was born in Wichita, KS to Richard and Betty Hoshaw on August 2nd, 1956. She graduated from Wichita West High School before earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Music from Friends University. Becky then went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Education specializing in Learning Disabilities. Becky taught children with learning disabilities, three years in Goddard and three years with the Barton County Special Services in Great Bend. She began to feel a burden for missions ministry to children and went to Honduras in 1984 for a short-term missions trip. After that trip she accepted a 3-year assignment in Paraguay. Next, Becky was approved as an Assemblies of God missionary to Honduras in 1990, where she served for three decades. The children of Honduras were her passion and the land was her home. She has been the National Coordinator of Pre-school Programs and Programs for Challenged Children, the Supervisor of LACC (Latin America ChildCare) pre-schools of Honduras, a member of the Missionettes National Committee, the Assistant ICI (International Correspondence Institute) Director, and the Missionary Fellowship Treasurer. Becky also founded the first LACC pre-school in Honduras in 1999, and was instrumental in the development of 11 other LACC schools.

Becky is preceded in death by her father, Richard Hoshaw, and her mother, Betty Hoshaw.

Becky is survived by "adopted" daughter Olimpia Salgada, and grand-daughters Badder Elizabeth and Maryam Rebeca Dominquez of Honduras, uncle and aunt Phillip and Sandra Reynolds of California, aunt and uncle Rosalee and Earl Agee of Oregon, uncle Dwayne Reynolds of Texas, and many other family members and beloved friends.
