Frank M. Carmena Jr. age 60, was reunited with his son on September 1, 2021 after a fierce battle with Covid. Frank was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, a member of St. Alphonsus Church and a graduate of Lee High School, class of 1979. He was a long time employee of T&C Truck Center and James T. Martin, Inc.
Frank is survived by his soulmate and loving wife of 30 years, Lisa S. Carmena. His son and daughter-in-law Cody and Alex Carmena, many nieces, nephews and cousins. His world, grandchildren; Harrison, Elliott, and Baby C.; Parents, father Frank and Linda Carmena, Sr., and mother Sandra and James Griscom; sister, Deidra Roberts, Christina Parent, Angie (Bud) Wall, and Summer (Brad) Theriot; a father-in-law and mother-in-law, O'Neil and Odalie Babin and Fred Goodspeed.
He is preceded in death by his son, John Nathan Carmena, his stepfather Charles Parent, brother-in-law Fred Goodspeed Jr.; grandparents, John T. and Annabelle Carmena, Nathan and Ethel Hinton.
Frank's favorite thing was spending time with his grandkids and he will forever be their guardian angel.
Frank was a hard worker and always had a project going; love the outdoors, helping others, listening to old country music and enjoying a cold beer.
Pallbearers will be, Jeremy Hinton, Jason Hinton, Dane Babin, Michael Myers, Mike Giambrone, Brad Theriot, Christopher Holden and Austin Brouilette.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 4pm-7pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 9:30am until Funeral Mass at 11:00am.
The family would like to thank the Baton Rouge General staff for their outstanding care and compassion during his stay. We are forever grateful for them and all those who have prayed for Frank and his family during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center Inc. 3013 Old Forge Dr. Baton Rouge 70808 or St. Alphonsus Boy Scout Troop 322 John Nathan Carmena Memorial Fund.
