PRICE- Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and longtime friend, Vonda Mary Toson Buckley, age 74, passed away December 5, 2007 at Castle Country Care Center in Price after a short battle with cancer. She was born March 6, 1933 in Standardville, Utah to Ernest and Mildred Cornish Toson Married Lawrence H. Buckley, June 23, 1951 in Standardville, Utah; he passed away on August 9, 1995. Vonda was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and her neighbors and friends could always find her working in her yard or walking the Helper Parkway. She loved to listen to music, volunteering at many community events, and she loved visiting with family and friends. She shared a great love for children, especially her grandchildren. Vonda was a friend to all and she loved everyone she met. In her later years, she enjoyed her trips to Palm Springs. Vonda is survived by her three daughters, Lori Howland, Debbie Buckley, both of Salt Lake City; Becky Bowers, Helper; sister, Racine (Robert) Turri, Monticello; six grandchildren and seven great-grand-children. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her cousin, Danny Angotti, special friend, James Paletta, longtime friend, Louise Hamilton for all their support, especially during the past five weeks. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Shirley (LaMar) Tatton; and her nephew, Brent Tatton. Funeral service, Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell's Mon. one hour prior to service. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
