James Rondal York was born September 23, 1947 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late James Preston York and Dempsey Huddleston York. He was united in marriage to Donna Faye Blankenship York who survives of London. He is also survived by his children Cassandra Faye Weiss of Versailles, Kentucky, James Leonard York of Lexington, Kentucky, Amanda Renea York of Nashville, Tennessee; stepson Ronnie Messer Jr. of Barbourville, Kentucky; siblings Nan Jewel Nasby of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Judy Cross of Glasgow, Kentucky; grandchildren Logan, Chloe, Benjamin and R.J.; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter Lee Ann Nicole York, and one brother Billy Preston York.
James was a construction worker, retiring as Vice President with Mountain Enterprises, and was a member of Lynn Camp Baptist Church.
James Rondal York departed this life Sunday, March 27, 2022 being 74 years, 6 months, and 4 days of age.
Funeral services for James Rondal York will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.
