Helen C. Aana Bizek Hammond, 85, of Waianae, a secretary for the civil engineer at Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor- Hickam, died in Waianae. She was born in Honolulu.

She is survived by sons William E. and Walter D. Jr.; daughters Christine H. Hicks, Cheryl H. Tanibe and Charleen M. Hammond; brother Benjamin K. Aana; sister Theresa "Malia" Ridgely; 22 grandchildren; 42 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Services: 6:30 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers. [Honolulu Star- Advertiser 20 September 2013]

HAMMOND-BIZEK, HELEN C., 85, of Nanakuli, a retired executive secretary to the Civil Engineer, HDQTRS of PACAF, Hickam AFB, passed away on Sept. 12, 2013 at the Pacific Coast Waianae Comprehensive Center. Born December 12, 1927.

Her career varied first as a legal stenographer, clerk- typist/steno and medical secretary. She retired after 43 years plus service with the US Government.

She was preceded in death by husbands; US Army Master Sergeant Walter D. Hammond Sr., of 27 years (expired 1977) and US Army 1st Sergeant Richard E. Bizek of 27 years (expired 2007).

She is survived by sons: William Hammond (JoAnn), Walter Hammond, Jr. (Norine); daughters: Christine Hicks (Gary), Cheryl Tanibe (Kenneth), Charleen Hammond; brother, Benjamin Aana (Genevieve "Momi"), sister: Theresa "Malia" Ridgely; 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation: 5:30PM Wednesday Sept. 25 at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, Makai Chapel. Services: 6:30PM. Casual attire. No flowers.
