Family records indicate he died in Wood County, Steele district, then stating he was buried in Bartow near his father, (no verification), his death records indicate his brother, (the name given was John Burner), was the person who provided information on his death certificate, however, Joshua was an only child, 1870 Census records indicate Joshua was living at that time at the home of his son, John E. Burner, it is probable Joshua was still living with his son's family at the time of his death in 1878.
