Born in Laurens, she was the daughter of Maxie Allen Abercrombie and Helen Loree Patterson. Mrs. Shockley was a former employee of Whitten Center from which she retired.
Surviving are her daughter Debra Galindo and granddaughter Kayla Shockley both of the home; her son Christopher Shockley; her sister Juanita Harmon; one grandson Desean Shockley; and three great grandchildren Justin Shockley, Daisy Hernandez, and Jayden Hernandez, all of Laurens.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Allen Shockley and grandson Damien Shockley.
The family will be at the residence, and will hold service at a later date.
