L. P. Dakin Hub businessman Laurence P. Dakin, of 11 Bonaire circle, Waban, a 72-year-old retired president of the Hilton and Al-drich Co. of Boston, died yesterday at Newton Wellesley Hospital. Born in Cambridge, he was a resident of Waban 36 years. During his long career in the fruit and dairy produce business, he was president of the Boston Fruit and Produce Exchange and the Hilton and Aldrich Company, which deals in dairy products. After his retirement in 1965, he was appointed a constable for Massachusetts. During World War L he served overseas in the medical corps. He leaves his wife, Gladys (Head); two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Paquette of Auburndale and Mrs. Natalie Ronty of """eston, and three grandchildren. Services will be at 11 ajn. tomorrow in Water-nan Chapel, 592 Washington St., Wellesley. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
