Alice Rose "Granny Doodle" Canada, 87, of Paris, Ark., died Monday, March 24, 2008, in Paris.
She was born June 16, 1928 to John B. and Josie Burnett Case in St. Louis Valley, Ark., where she was raised. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arvel F. Canada; three brothers, Lester, Chester and Harlan Case; a sister, Settie Miller; two children, Donald Canada and Sandy Link; and three grandchildren, Allison Link, Joshua Canada and Cody Wiley.
She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Turner of Paris, Debbie Kinney of Ozark and Darla Dorrough of Dardanelle; two sons, Jake and Clinton Canada of Paris; a sister, Violet Miller of Dardanelle; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a large host of extended family and friends.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, at First Assembly of God Church in Paris with Eldon Thomas and Sandra Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home-Paris.
Pallbearers:
Active — nephews, Larry Glen, Steve, Ricky and Gary Miller, and Dana and Donny Case.
Honorary — grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
