MIDDLE MUSQUOTOBOIT - April 1 - The death occurred here on Friday morning last, of Edward McQuinn, in his 57th year. Mr. McQuinn had been ill for some time and his death will be heard of with great regret in the valley, and in Halifax.
The deceased was possessed of a quiet and unassuming nature - in a sense too quiet to bring out his many qualities, but to intimate friends, he would talk very interestingly. His geological knowledge was good - in fact some would call it profound, and eminent in the profession. He is survived by four brothers, Chester, of Halifax; Robert, of Gay's River, and William and Gray, of Minnesota. Three brothers predeceased him, Lamont, formerly of the firm of Hamilton and McQuinn, tailors, Halifax; George, who died suddenly at Seattle, Washington, recently, and James, who was well known in literary circles in Halifax, having been editorial writer on the Morning Chronicle, and Halifax Recorder.
The funeral took place from the Middleton church, services being conducted by Revs. Mr. McIntosh and Mitchell. Interment was at Gay's River.
