Mrs. Eva M. Clifton, Resident For 37 Years
Mrs. Eva Calvin Martin Clifton, widow of one of the founders of Florida Dairies and member of a pioneer Florida family, died Sunday.
Mrs. Clifton, 75, was a Miami resident for 37 years. She lived at 1900 Brickell Ave.
Her father, Calvin Martin, settled in Orange County in 1845. Mr. Clifton, who died in 1952, was treasurer for Florida Dairies. He was among the organizers of the company.
Mrs. Clifton was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, and the National Society of Daughters of Colonial WArs.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs.L. A. Jones, of Miami, and Mrs. George Fox, of Brooklyn.
Private services will be held tomorrow at the Combs Coral Gables Funeral Home. (another obit says burial will be in Woodlawn Park.)
