He married Mary Louise Carson September 22, 1974 in California. They moved to Oilton, OK a few years later. She preceded him in death July 4, 1999.
He will be cremated and laid to rest beside Mary in the Oilton City Cemetery.

John Broadway, an Oilton resident, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008 in the Drumright Hospital at the age of 80 years. Memorial services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Oilton and will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2008 in the First Freewill Baptist Church in Oilton with Pastor Ryan Humble officiating. Burial to follow in the Highland Cemetery, Oilton, OK.
The son of the late Presley Clinton Broadway and Nellie (George) Broadway, John was born on May 1, 1927 in Oilton. He was reared and educated in Oilton, graduating with the class of 1948. John had lived most of his adult life in California where he had worked as a produce manager for Ralph's Grocery in Los Angles. He had been a Journeyman Mason and had served as a Deputy Grandmaster of the I.O.O.F.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Mary, five brothers, and four sisters. He is survived by his companion and trusted friend, his dog named Cricket and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
