Judy Ann Nelson, 67, of Kandiyohi, died Wednesday, December 1st at Carris Health Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Her funeral will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 7th at Harrison Presbyterian Church, rural Spicer. Visitation will be Monday from 4-6:00 pm, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Her funeral will be livestreamed through Harrison Presbyterian's Facebook page. www.hafh.org

Judy was born February 16, 1954, in Willmar, the daughter of Paul and Mavis (Paetznick) Adams. She grew up in the country north of Atwater and graduated from Atwater High School in 1972. She continued her education at Willmar Vo-Tech.

On September 5, 1981, she was united in marriage to James Nelson at Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer. They have lived in Kandiyohi ever since and Judy has worked in banking and bookkeeping for most of those years.

Her family remembers her passion and talent in creative arts including, painting, cross-stitching, quilting, card-making, photography, and any crafts she could get her hands on. Judy's love of reading was evident as she never traveled without her Kindle. Her kind heartedness was ever present as she always was there to help others and to make everyone feel special. She recently was honored with the Presbyterian Women Lifetime Achievement Award for her dedication to Harrison Presbyterian Church where she was a lifetime member.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, James; son, Corey (Elissa) Nelson; daughter, Laura Nelson; two grandchildren, Lola and Greta; and her brother, Larry (Bonnie) Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
