Denzil W. Lane, 79, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Nancy L. Phillips Lane. On May 18th, they would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.

Born in Nicut, WV on October 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Ralph and Arlie Harold Lane. Denzil retired from the U.S. Navy (Brown Shoe Navy) as an E-8 and had served two tours in Vietnam. For twelve years he served as a pastor at the Moonshine and Haak's United Zion Churches. He was a member of the Palmyra United Zion Church and a lifetime member of the DAV. He enjoyed playing softball, and, when he was younger, he played with the Lebanon Co. Softball League. He enjoyed gardening and especially spending time on his farm and with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Casey M. husband of Jennifer Lane of Lebanon and Paul A. husband of Maggie Lane of Lebanon; brothers Howard Lane of WV, Charles Lane of MS, and Everett Lane of WV; sisters Ruth Morgan of WI, Nancy Stemple of WV, and Brenda Davidson of WV; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers James, William, Larry, Ronald and Robert Lane and his sister Jean Sears.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and at 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service on Tuesday. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
