1838..........Mary Wilhoit (John's widow) made will. To my niece Ann
Courtney Garnett (William Garnett Exec.) Wit. John James and
James Garnett. (Madison Co., VA.)
John Wilhoit's Will was Probated September 1820 in Madison County,
Virginia (Will Book 4, page 236). This Will was witnessed by Daniel James and
Henry Towles. Michael Yager was named Administrator of his Estate. He names
all his children as listed except John Jr. who may have died or moved away
and possibly Joseph who had also moved away. Mary died 1838, also in Madison
Co., Va.
