Mr. Alvin Bernard O'Guinn was born in Strong, Arkansas on January 28, 1958 to Charlie "LT" and Marjorie Young O'Guinn. He was the oldest child in a family of two children. His grandparents were Charlie, Sr. and Maebell O'Guinn of Strong, Arkansas and A.D. and Effie Mae Wesley Young, of the Holly Spring Community, Springfield, Arkansas.

He comes from a family deeply rooted in faith and committed his life to Christ at an early age, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Strong, Arkansas. He attended St. James United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas for many, many years.

He graduated from Strong High School in 1975 and from there, his journey took him to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). While there, he pledged the Tau Sigma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in the Spring of 1977. That's when he fondly became known as "Stone".

He began an extensive career with International Paper Company, which eventually became Evergreen Packaging. He worked in various positions during his 42-year career, with his career successfully and ultimately shifting to the position of Maintenance Supervisor.

Stone enjoyed spending time meditating at the lake. But, 4-wheel Drives, Motorcycles, Muscle Cars, and Music were his passions. If you wanted to test his depth, you could ask him about the Laws of Physics, Mechanical specs of a vehicle of his liking, and whether he knew any of the "oldies but goodies" and he would never cease to amaze you. He loved to work with his hands, he was a real biker (Street Sweepers), he had thirst for knowledge, and he loved listening to music of many genres. But, Rhonda was his true love.

Alvin "Stone" left this world suddenly on March 12, 2022 at age 64. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends. He was beloved by everyone who ever met him regardless of their walk of life. No matter the circumstance, family and friends would always leave with a story of something he did or said while they were with him.

Alvin was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

His legacy of love and memories will be cherished by his wife of 25 years, Rhonda Edwards O'Guinn; three sons - Moneletha "Brontez" O'Guinn (Tantarras) of Eldorado, Arkansas;

Sedgwick "Jerome" McCollum of Eldorado, Arkansas; and Alvin "Jordan" O'Guinn of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother - Gerald O'Guinn (Tonya) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two Brothers-in-law - Edwin "Jay" Edwards, Sr. of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jauch Edwards (Cheryl) of Ft. Worth, Texas, one Sister-in-law - Marico Early (Harold) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 22, 2022, at Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Pine Bluff, AR by Rev. Laron Edwards. Interment in Graceland Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, AR. His body will lie in-state 10:15 a.m. until service time.
