Arthenser Arlenzer Grigsby was born June 16, 1934, to the late Hassian and Rose Grigsby.

During his teen years he was active on both the football and track fields of Roosevelt High School. He loved creative dancing in his youth, and he never abandoned his love for dancing. Arlenzer graduated from Roosevelt High School Class of 1953. Shortly after graduation, Arlenzer enlisted in the United States Army and enrolled in Radio Radar courses at Fort Mammoth, New Jersey. Arlenzer served his country proudly and was honorably discharged in October 1957. Upon his return home Arlenzer continued his education and enrolled at Purdue University, Calumet pursing studies in Electrical Engineering. While in pursuit of his electrical credentials, Arlenzer was versatile in his career choices and worked as an insurance salesperson for a short time. He also worked as an insurance sales person for a short time.

His visitation will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 12pm – 7pm; Family Hour 5pm-7pm at Smith, Bizzell & Warner Funeral Home 4209 Grant St. Gary, IN; Funeral Services Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10am at Life Church International 430 E. Ridge Rd. Gary, IN. Interment Abe Lincoln Cemetery.
