KARLIN - Mrs. Reinhold (Claudora) Karlin, 85, of 227 ? Circle Drive, died Saturday morning at Behlen Community Hospital.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel where the body now lies in state. The Rev. B.F. Meschke will officiate, and burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Karlin was born Mar? 22, 1890 [at] Randolph, daughter of John I. and Leah (Freeland) Denman. Educated at Randolph and Belgrade, she married Reinhold Karlin Feb. 11, 1914 at Belgrade, they lived in Columbus until 193? when they moved to Ogallala.
After her husband's death in 1970 she returned to Columbus, where she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Charles Beneke.
A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she was a former member of St. Paul Church in Ogallala, the Ogallala Firemen's Auxiliary, Union Pacific Ladies Auxiliary and Union Pacific Old Timers Club.
Surviving are the Benekes two grandsons, William Charles Karlin and Richard Elwin Karlin; one great-grandson. Richard Charles Karlin. A son, William died in 1971, and seven brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.
