Jewell Pauline Holland Dixon, 96, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at a health care facility in Decatur.

She was born in McMinn County on Sept. 23, 1925, the daughter of the late James Madison and Willie (Cantrell) Holland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Edward Dixon; her brothers, George Holland, Melvin Holland, James W. Holland, and Brown Holland; and her two sisters, Verneize Wilcox and Lola Watts. She had one son, James E. Dixon.

Pauline was a longtime resident in Des Moines, IA., until moving to Dayton in 1994. While living in Des Moines, she was a machine operator with the Ross Daniels Company. Pauline was a member of the Dayton Church of Christ.

She is survived by her brother, Norman Holland of Dayton, and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services for Pauline will be held on Tuesday, March 22, at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Minister Steve Brown officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
