Retired Farmer Dies Suddenly at 77 Years

George Leander Chamberlin, 77, retired farmer and a resident of Wichita the past 21 years, died suddenly from a heart attack while working with bees Monday morning at his home, 208 North Vine.

Mr. Chamberlin was born in Bradsford, Ind., April 19, 1863, and resided on a farm near Nash, Okla., before retiring and moving to Wichita in 1919. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, Flora; one daughter, Mrs. Velma Richards, Yates Center; one son, Everette, 3919 Longview Lane; and one sister, Miss Louise Chamberlin, Colorado Springs.

Funeral services will be announced by the Culbertson mortuary.
