"Harry G. Bockhorst, 87, of 2802 N.E. 56th Terrace, Gladstone, died Friday at the home. He was born in Vernon County, Mo., and had lived in Kansas City area since 1914. Mr. Bockhorst was a storekeeper for the Wabash Railroad, where he worked for 49 years before he retired. He was an Evangelical Lutheran. He was a member of the Brotherhood of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks and was a member of two senior citizen bowling leagues. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Alverta Matthys of Kansas City; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in the White Chapel Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, November 28, 1982
