Bettie B McBee, 92 of Newburg, WV, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Stonerise in Kingwood. She was born on September 9, 1929 in Steyer MD, daughter of the late Trevor and Sarah "Shoemaker" Shackleford. Bettie graduated from Arthurdale High School, Class of 1947. She retired from Piper Aircraft in Lakeland, FL. Bettie loved reading, quilting and her cats. She was Baptist by Faith. Bettie is survived by one daughter, Regina Ann Harris and Jim, Newburg; one son, David Hibbs and Debbie, York Run; one daughter-in-law, Stephanie Hibbs, Independence; seven grandchildren, James "Jay Harris and Zona, Clifton Mills, WV, Danny J Harris, Newburg, Kim Woods and David, Independence, C.W. Hibbs, Independence, Meegan Cordero, Newburg, Robert Hibbs and Heather, Norfolk, VA, Matthew Hibbs and Mary, Kingwood; fifteen great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Isabella, Gasellia, Anabella, Kaitlyn, Ezra, Cullen, Maggie, Zane, Henry, Ethan, James "J.C", Tim, Nathan and Jake; one great-great grandchild, Lilly; one brother, Levi Shackleford, Ridgewater, VA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by one son, William "Bill" Earl Hibbs in 2019; two brothers, Brown Shackleford and Bill Shackleford; three sisters, Martha Beazell, Mary Ann Sonier and Sarah Titus Harvey. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm.
