Clark Lee Alexander, Sr., 73 passed away March 17, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Gaston County on May 17, 1948 to the late Leonard O'Dell Alexander, Jr and Helen Franklin Alexander. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Alexander.

Clark proudly served in the US Army. He was a big sports fan and always pulled for the Redskins. While at home he enjoyed watching old westerns and going for walks around the neighborhood. Clark also loved going to the mountains for vacation with his family.

Left to cherish Clark's memories is his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Lowrance Alexander; son, Clark Lee Alexander, Jr.; and his sister, Sandra Jones and her husband Johnny.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m, Tuesday, March 22, 2022.at Edgewood Cemetery, 399 North Church Street in Lowell.

Pallbearers will be Tony Henderson, Ervin Ramsey, Gary Franklin, Sr., and Beau Franklin.
