Brenda Kay Brinley, 71, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at her home.

She was born in Union City, Indiana on August 10, 1950, to the late Lawrence and Mildred (Moore) Byrum.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel J. Brewer, who passed away on May 2, 1994; her daughter, Alberta Brewer; her sisters, Beverly Beanblossom and Bonieda Ehlers.

Brenda was a 1965 graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School. She worked for Sheller Globe in Union City for 18 years. She then went to work for Anthony Wayne Early Childhood Center in Greenville as their head cook for 15 years. Brenda was a member of the Woodington Congregation Church.

Brenda was most proud of her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be remembered for attending their sporting events, planting gardens with them, and setting miniature tea sets for tea parties. She liked cross stitching and sitting on the front porch. Brenda enjoyed her strawberry collectibles and loved the holiday season because she could cook large meals for her family.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Roland Brinley, whom she married on January 1, 1998; her children, Shanna (Rick) Hines of West Milton, Ohio, Chris (Kendra) Brewer of Greenville, Dane (Audrey) Brinley of Centerville, Lisa (Josh) Beiting of Kentucky, and Brett Brinley of Greenville; her grandchildren, Zeb, Zenna, Zuri, Zyler, and Zeacon Hines, Klaira, Josie, and Kord Brewer, Lydia, Abigale, Nolan Brinley, and Taylor and Madison Beiting; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A reception of friends will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Burial will take place in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens at a later date.
