Glen Ervin Allred, World War II veteran, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2008 in Bountiful, Utah.
Glen was born on July 12, 1921 in Wilson (now Ballard), Utah to Mable Irene Cloward and Vern Henry Allred. He married Mary Helen Harris, August 24, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was active in the LDS Church. In addition to being a great husband, father and grandfather, Glen was a horseman, basketball player, golfer, farmer, and school counselor. He earned degrees from BYU and USU, but he was born to coach. "The Coach" , principled, perceptive, successful; our dear Dad went about doing good. We and hundreds love you and will miss you.
Glen is survived by his wife, Helen; six children, Gwen (Clark) Christian, Dale (Amy), Linda, Garth (Judy), JD Harris (Bernice), Ann (Fred) VanWeerd; 32 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Glen will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 12:00 Noon in the Val Verda 5th Ward, 2633 South 50 West, Bountiful, Utah. Viewing will be held at this address Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Bountiful Memorial Park, Bountiful, Utah.
