Obituary
Effie J., daughter of Daniel and Rachel Snider, was born August 22, 1856, and died at her home in Marshall April 9, 1899, aged 42 years, 8 months and 13 days.
She joined the church while young, and was soundly converted some twelve years ago and continued her membership until death.
After her mother's death she often expressed herself as desiring to live to take care of her father.
The day before her death her aunt, watching for some sign of consciousness, noticed her in an attitude of supplication and murmuring the name of the Lord.
Her aunt said to her "Effie, were you speaking to the Lord?"
When she gave her assent, her aunt then said, "Put your trust in him."
Then she replied, "I do."
She leaves many sorrowing friends who will miss her kindly greeting.
The father's loss will be the mother's gain.
