Arnold "Frank" Franklin Short July 1, 1932 - March 14, 2022

Arnold Franklin "Frank" Short passed away March 14, 2022, from Congestive Heart Failure in the comfort of his home, at the age of 89.
Frank was born in Big Pigeon, West Virginia on July 1, 1932, the son of Charles Conard and Kathryn C. (Salisbury) Short.
He proudly served his country in Korea under the U.S. Army. Frank had 33 years of dedicated service and retired from Oldsmobile. During his career, he helped design the V6 and V8 engine. He was one of the 3 men who were instrumental in starting County Seat Old Car Club of Mason, Michigan and was a member of the Hubs Old Car Club of St. Johns, Michigan.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 64 years, Evelyn June (Caltrider) Short; son, Tom W. Short; great-great-grandchild, Waylon Short; sister, Lou Belle Short; and niece, Patricia Heath. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children: Tanga Jo (Roy) Korte, Tony J. (Nina) Short, Teresa J. (Bob) Linderman, and Todd F. (Gina) Short; grandchildren: Rick (Amber) Stierley, Scott (Donna) Stierley, Kraig Short, Steve (Kristyn) Stierley, Rob (Val) Stierley, Andy (Kathy) Stierley, Nicki (Jeff) Kasmar, Danny (Megan) Short, Jerad (Laura) Short, Teddy (Jack) Jaquette, Baylee Nequette, Todd F. (Sam) Short Jr., and Kruiz (Natisha) Short; 28 great grandchildren; and brother, Randy Short.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Vickers Leslie Funeral Home, 109 North Church Street, Leslie, Michigan. Family will receive family and friends, Friday March 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mason, Michigan. A luncheon will be held at the Leslie American Legion, 422 Woodworth Street in Leslie, Michigan following the burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank's name to the Heartland Hospice, 865 South Cedar Street, Mason, Michigan 48854. Arrangements entrusted to Vickers Leslie Funeral Home, P.O. Box 503, Leslie, MI 49251. 517-878-6600.
