Karol Lee Baughman died unexpectedly Saturday morning, January 8, 2022. He was born May 20, 1935, son of Clare and Madge (Ford) Baughman. He grew up in the Scotts area. Karol married Marjorie Hoyt on July 31,1954. He worked as pipe welder for Consumers Power Company for 36 years and retired in 1990. He also worked the family's farm, growing crops and raising cattle. In his retirement he enjoyed restoring Model T's, Cushman scooters and other collectible cars. He received several awards for his Model T's. He and Marjorie were active in Model T tours and seasonal travel to Florida.

Karol was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie and his children, Steve Baughman, and Larry (Dawn) Baughman; grandchildren, Jamie (Rusty) Bennett, Erin Matlock, Travis (Faith) Baughman, Clayton Baughman, Klinton Baughman, Rachel Baughman, Sally Franklin, and Mary Franklin; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, January 16th & 17th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 205 E Maple St, Climax, MI 49034, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 18th, with Pastor Tom Harrison officiating. Graveside service will follow in Gilson Cemetery. The family will receive guests after the burial service at Climax American Legion Post #465.
