Kenneth "Keith" Golden, 86, of El Dorado, Kansas, died Thursday evening at Lakepoint Nursing Home in El Dorado, Kansas.
Keith was born August 16, 1921 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Dave and Wilma (Hanks) Golden.
He graduated from the El Dorado High School.
During WWII he served his country with the 75th Infantry in the United States Army.
On December 7, 1944 he was united in marriage to Margaret Henn. She died in 1964.
Keith was a longtime employee as a lineman for Southwestern Bell Company.
He retired while living in Pittsburg, Kansas.
He was a faithful member of the Christian Church having served as a deacon.
He loved to play golf, fish, and travel in his motorhome.
Surviving family include one son, Gregory of Texas; one daughter Koletta and her husband James Moore of Michigan; a brother Marvin and his wife Margaret Golden of Oklahoma; and a brother-in-law Carl and wife Betty Henn of El Dorado, KS; two grandchildren, Jamie and Jennifer; one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert.
The Celebration of his life will be at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. The burial will follow the services in Sunset Lawns Cemetery El Dorado, Kansas.
A memorial has been established with either the First Christian Church or Hospice of Kansas.
